This listing is for a Custom Order Edwardian Longline "Titanic Era" corset. The corset can be made out of basic cotton coutil (shown pics 1-5), floral printed coutil (pic 6), or coutil covered in dupioni silk. The edges are finished with cotton or silk bias tape and the top edge is trimmed in lace. The corset laces together in back as well as closing in front with a riveted busk.
The Longline Corset is similar in construction to Victorian corsets but extends well over the hip to minimize curves rather than maximize them. The Longline is stiffened through the sides and back with spiral steel boning which stops just over the hipline, while the corset fabric extend several inches further. Spiral boning reinforces the grommets to give the plenty of flexibility. This corset also has detachable garters at the bottom for hose.
